Louis-Christophe (“Christophe”) Delanoy is a partner in Bredin Prat’s International Arbitration Group. He is a highly regarded practitioner who has acted as counsel in countless domestic and international arbitration proceedings, ad hoc or under the auspices of ICC, OHADA (CCJA), EAC and ICSID. He has become an expert in the field of oil and gas, as has also specialized in investment disputes representing successfully respondent States and international investors. He also represents parties before French courts in proceedings seeking the annulment or recognition and enforcement of international arbitral awards. Christophe periodically serves as arbitrator in ad hoc and institutional proceedings. In 2013 he was awarded the Best Lawyer Award for Lawyer of the Year in Arbitration and Mediation, France. He regularly publishes commentaries on French court decisions in the field of international arbitration.
Christophe studied Russian at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales prior to entering Sciences-Po and starting legal studies. He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1987 and holds degrees in law from the University of Paris Panthéon-Assas (Maîtrise, 1984; DEA in private international law, 1985). He speaks French (mother tongue) and English and has a good command of German and Russian
